Optimal Cooking Instructions

Conventional Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Place frozen strips in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake on middle oven rack for 11 to 13 minutes or until fully cooked.
  • Carefully remove baking sheet from oven with oven mitts and let stand 2 minutes before serving.
  • Check that product is cooked thoroughly. Internal temperature needs to reach 165°F as measured by a food thermometer in several spots. Due to variance in appliances, cooking times and/or temperatures may require adjustment.

Microwave Oven:

  • Place frozen strips in a single layer on a microwave-safe plate.
  • Heat on HIGH for 1.5 to 2 minutes or until fully cooked.
  • Do not overheat.
  • Carefully remove microwave-safe plate with oven mitts from microwave.
  • Let stand 2 minutes before serving.
  • Check that product is cooked thoroughly. Internal temperature needs to reach 165°F as measured by a food thermometer in several spots. Due to variance in appliances, cooking times and/or temperatures may require adjustment.

Deep-fry:

  • Preheat fryer to 350°F.
  • Place frozen strips in a single layer in a fryer basket.
  • Fry for 3 to 3.5 minutes or until fully cooked.
  • Let stand 2 minutes before serving.
  • Check that product is cooked thoroughly. Internal temperature needs to reach 165°F as measured by a food thermometer in several spots. Due to variance in appliances, cooking times and/or temperatures may require adjustment.

Dinnertime Tips

Serving Suggestion:

  • We serve these with a really nice honey mustard sauce from the store and bake up some sweet potato fries and make a green salad to go with it all.

Time Saver:

  • I like to make my own spice mixes so I can cut down the salt and increase the heat (we like it spicy). It saves me money and by making a big batch it's ready to go.
